Changing Your Security Code

Each number has its own security code. This is a 4-10 digit number required to gain access to the administrative functions of the number over the telephone. Changing the security code of a particular only affects that number. It does not change the security code of other numbers nor does it change the password for access over the Internet.

Online Instructions

1. Go to www.800Link.com.
2. Click "Login" at the top right.
3. Enter the requested information, then click "Submit".
4. Expand the "Services" node.
5. Expand the node of the service you wish to modify.
6. Click on "General".
7. Enter the new Security Code.

Telephone Instructions

1. Dial your number. If you have an extension, enter it when prompted.
2. Press the star (*) key any time during the outgoing message.
3. Enter your security code when prompted. If you are not prompted for your security code, something has gone wrong.
4. Choose "5" for Personal Options
5. Choose "2" to change the Security Code
